Features at a Glance
These scanners are attached to the component running on
custom fabricated tracks (elbow scanner) or fitted adapters (small-nozzle scanner).
Scanner motion is controlled by a hand-held key pad and/or from the data acquisition
computer. Relevant set-positions can be transferred to the data acquisition computer
for further motion control by the scanning program.
A very flexible testing system can be configured by
adding ultrasonic hardware and software, such as the PCUS 10/11 ultrasonic cards and
CPS data acquisition and analysis software. Eddy current inspections can also be
performed by adding suitable (PC-based) eddy current components.
Scanner Characteristics
The elbow scanner is suitable for
automated scanning of piping elbows with outside diameters ranging from 2" to
40"
The small-nozzle scanner is suitable
for automated scanning of nozzles with outside diameters ranging from 2" to 10"
Quick and easy mounting using
different size tracks or adapters
Programmable scan pattern
